Kathmandu, Nepal — With the rising adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in the Kathmandu Valley, the number of EV charging stations is also increasing rapidly. As people become more dependent on sustainable transport options, many EV users are now opting for home charging solutions as a more convenient and cost-effective alternative.
According to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), over 55 public EV charging stations have been installed across Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur. The private sector has played a significant role in this recent expansion of charging infrastructure.
Rising Demand for ‘Home Charging’
EV owners are increasingly purchasing smart home chargers, allowing them to fully charge their vehicles overnight. These chargers offer flexibility and save both time and money for everyday users.
